Have you ever wanted to learn to knit?  Maybe you’re new to fiber arts and have never even touched yarn, or maybe you’re a seasoned crochet artist or weaver who never got around to learning the basics of knitting!  This is the class for you!  We’ll cover the very basics from the very beginning.  In this class, we’ll cover knit stitches and purl stitches, casting on, and casting off to make some lovely coasters in garter, stockinette, and seed stitch.  We’ll talk about straight vs circular knitting needles, and we’ll have a lot of time to work together and troubleshoot.  This class is starting from the ground up, so we’ll be knitting in the English, or “throwing” style.  If none of those words made sense to you, never fear!  This class is the place to start – we’ll define all those terms and more.
