Bound Weaving on Rigid Heddle with Peggy McIntosh

March 20, 2025 @ 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Participants will learn Bound Weave, a weft-faced weave, so the warp does not show except in the fringe. Making a cover for a pillow allows you to experiment with weft-color changes to make several designs. The Bound Weave fabric is more dense, and therefore heavier, than a “balanced” weave.

Students should bring the following: a rigid heddle loom 10-inches wide or wider is required. A limited number of looms are available for rent from the Guild. Contact the instructor if you wish to rent a loom.

Cost: $50 BSWG member, $80 non-BSWG member (includes 2025 membership)
