Inkle Weaving on the Rigid Heddle with Peggy McIntosh

No need for an additional loom to weave Inkle Bands. Make belts, bookmarks, straps and decorations in this very old Scandinavian style on any size rigid heddle loom. You will make bookmarks in this class. Designs can be made by the warp order of 2 or more colors of yarn.
Choose fairly smooth yarns in whatever two or more colors you wish. Good choices for yarn are 5/2 cotton, 3/2 cotton or #10 Crochet Cotton.
List of Required Materials:
You will need a loom of any size and a 7.5-dent heddle. Looms can be rented from the guild or the instructor on a first come-first served basis, but the number of looms available is limited. Contact the Fiber Store or the instructor about renting a loom.
Additional materials and tools needed are
Tape measure, scissors, yarn needle
Sleying (threading) hook

You will need to know how to warp your loom, either direct warping or indirect warping.
