We’d love to teach you how to fold and cut the plastic bags that we crochet into  sleeping mats for those experiencing homelessness. If you’d like to learn to crochet,  we’ll teach you that, too! 

Our ‘Mat-Makers’ gather at the Fiber Arts Store on Thursdays from 1:30 to 4:00ish.  They make sleeping mats for the homeless out of recycled plastic grocery bags. The  bags are cut into strips and turned into ‘plarn’ (plastic yarn) and then crocheted into  mats. The completed mats are delivered to Beacon, Inc. for distribution to individuals.
