April 18, 19, & 25, 2026, 1:00 – 4:00 PM
In this 3-day workshop, students will learn the basics of loom weaving. They will learn to measure a warp, dress a loom and weave a chenille scarf. No previous weaving experience is necessary. Use of the guild looms is included. There will be an additional cost for the yarn ($5-10). The class will meet on two consecutive days with the third class one weeks later. Students will take their looms home after the second day to complete weaving their scarf during the week.
Instructors will email you regarding what you need to bring to class.
About the instructors: Karin and Gale have each been weaving for about 20 years. They have co-taught beginning weaving classes over the past 7 years. Both are active members of the Bloomington Spinners & Weavers Guild.
