This workshop will focus on getting color and pattern on fabric through a process known as botanical printing or eco-printing. We will be arranging and steaming dried flower petals from dye plants to print on silk or cotton – your choice. Eco-printing is an environmentally friendly and sustainable way to create beautiful and unique textiles. It also allows for a more personal connection to nature and the materials used in the printing process. Dried flowers for you to choose from include yellow marigolds, plains coreopsis, orange cosmos, chamomile, and purple pincushion (scabiosa). All supplies and materials are provided. Workshop is limited to eight people.
