This three-session workshop introduces key aspects of lace knitting including cast-on and bind off techniques, common stitches, and concepts like lifelines, working from charts, and blocking lace. Participants will make a small lace shawl from one of two patterns. Each pattern requires one skein (approximately 400 – 420 yards) of fingering weight yarn. Both are free patterns that can be downloaded from Ravelry and will be made available for registrants to select the one they wish to make.
