In this one-day workshop, students learn Bronson Lace pickup. This is an easy pickup weave. It gives a nice texture to the plain-weave background. You will weave a lovely two-color scarf to enjoy yourself or give as a gift.
Students will need a loom at least 10-inches wide, a 7.5-dent or 8-dent heddle and a pickup stick. Yarn will be two colors with good contrast in a worsted-weight. The warp will be one color yarn. Students may warp the loom before the workshop.
For a 5-foot scarf the warp needs to be 90 inches long. For a 6-foot scarf the warp needs to be 102 inches. A 7.5-dent heddle will require 68 ends. An 8-dent heddle will require 72 ends.
